# Spexi Powered by LayerDrone

Spexi and LayerDrone together are creating a standardized, always-updated, high-resolution Earth imagery data layer. Spexi creates the pilot applications that interface with LayerDrone’s decentralized open network protocol.&#x20;

As a pilot flying with the Spexi Platform (Spexi App and Explorer), you’ll be able to contribute imagery to the LayerDrone Network and earn while you fly. This documentation tells you everything you need to know to get started flying with the Spexi Platform.
